In this educational segment, big game fishing expert Randy Toussaint discusses the advantages and disadvantages of circle hooks versus the traditional J-hooks. According to Randy, circle hooks main benefit lies in the ability to prevent break-offs of bigger fish due to the fact that the hook generally end up in the corner of a fish’s mouth with little or no line being rubbed against and frayed.
