Theodore Gordon said, “the great charm of fly fishing is that we are always learning”. Well, it is safe to say that lefty has done a bit more “learning” than your typical fly fisherman. Lefty Kreh is a world renound fly fishing, casting, teaching, legend who loves to share his knowledge with anyone who will listen.
In the video segment he stresses that you “do not cast fly lines, you unroll them.” He believes that all to often people have casting difficulty because they try to cast their fly line instead of unrolling it, and it up punching it. He shows how to effortlessly unroll fly line because “I’m 83 and aint got no power left.” Lefty certainly proves his point when he unroll’s well over 100 feet of fly line with only the upper half of his TFO fly rod! |
